EDI Standard - EDIFACT

UN/EDIFACT (United Nations/Electronic Data Interchange for Administration, Commerce and Transport) is the most widely used EDI document standard in Europe.

It is a structured language that emerged in the 80s thanks to the work of a United Nations group known as Working Party 4. It is a multi-country and multi-sector standard. Although it was initially conceived with retail in mind, it is now a well-established reality in industries such as healthcare, construction, logistics and transportation, or services such as banking and insurance.
